Self-Weight Page
The Self-Weight definition is made in two ways:
- By using the Specific weight of the Structure or User defined specific weight: can be specified separately for the superstructure and the substructure. If 0.0 is entered for the user specific weight, the respective value of the material table will be used in the analysis.
- By specifying a uniform concentric line load extending over the whole length of the bridge, the weight of the substructure is neglected. In case of a Grid or FEM model the loading is distributed to the individual longitudinal girders or element series proportional to the cross-sectional areas of the individual members.
